There is a movie called ‘Under Our Skin’ which exposes the truth about Lyme disease. This is a serious condition of our times. This film does a good job about exposing the truth about the health care system which, as always, is about putting big profits in front of patient care.

The rates of Lyme Disease have been increasing as of late. They are actually at epidemic levels in some areas. In fact, there have been a number of cases here locally in Truckee. This disease is from a spirochete bacteria called Borrelia burgdorferi. This bacteria is transmitted to us humans and also animals by mosquitoes, ticks, spiders and also mites.

Borrelia burgdorferi, which is a cousin to the bacteria which causes syphilis is able to hide and survive in human tissues. It is able to hide well due to the corkscrew shape which allows it to burrow deep into you tissues and takes on different forms. It can be a cyst which is able to escape the defense of your immune system, avoid antibiotics and sneak past blood tests.

There are several people who do suffer from chronic Lyme disease. These people struggle to receive the proper help because of a corrupt government and their agencies and insurance companies. These agencies are corrupt and unite in an attempt to destroy physicians credibility when they attempt to expose the truth.
